James L. Schuppert M.D. joined Corning in 1993 as the associate medical director. Schuppert was named director of health services in 1999, and assumed responsibilities for International Medical
Services and Medical Affairs in 2002.

Schuppert holds a bachelor's degree in premedicine from Penn State and a medical degree from Hahnemann University. Additionally, he is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Schuppert serves on the medical advisory boards Organizational Resource Council (ORC), CIGNA International, and United Behavioral Health (UBH).
