Ann Kempski

Ann Kempski is the Director of Policy and Government Relations for The Permanente Federation of Kaiser Permanente. The Permanente Federation is the umbrella organization for Kaiser Permanente’s 17,000 physicians practicing in eight multi-specialty group practices in each of Kaiser Permanente’s regions. Kaiser Permanente is the largest private integrated delivery system in the U.S., delivering care to 9 million members in nine states and the District of Columbia.As the Director of Policy and Government Relations, Ann is responsible for federal policy issues related to the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, quality measurement and reporting, health workforce, and delivery system reform. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2010, Ann was the Director of Health Policy for the Service Employees International Union, and led SEIU’s federal health care reform team. Ann has over 20 years of health policy and advocacy experience in Washington, DC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary, and a Master’s degree in labor economics from Cornell University.
