An Alternative Payment Model for Addiction Recovery

Event Horizontal

Overview
Current payment models discourage a lasting recovery for people dealing with addiction. A major impediment is that today’s programs and treatment settings for patients operate in isolation. But a new alternative payment model (APM) offers the potential to incentivize, integrate and refocus physicians and caregivers on what matters most – helping patients get on, and stay on, a path of lasting recovery.

Please join us as we discuss this new APM that provides patients with a long-term, comprehensive pathway for addiction recovery. Notable behavioral health experts from the American Hospital Association (AHA) and Anthem, Inc. will join Greg Williams, Executive Vice President of Facing Addiction with NCADD (The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence), to discuss implementing this novel APM for substance abuse disorders (SUDs).

This webinar will discuss how this new APM:
  • Offers an innovative approach to deal with alcohol and drug addiction, which now impacts one in three households in the U.S.
  • Aligns the interests of patients, providers and payers through a new risk-based payment methodology.
  • Establishes a broad episode of care ranging from emergent and stabilizing acute-care settings to community-based services and support essential for managing patients with a chronic disease.
