PCC Calls on Congress to Strengthen Primary Care for Dually Eligible Beneficiaries

As key US Senators work toward a bipartisan solutions for Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in dual coverage, PCC called for urgently needed reforms to improve health through whole-person primary care.  Key recommendations included in the March 15th  letter were:

  • Extending continous coverage protections to dually eligible beneficiaries
  • Enacting an add-on payment for Medicare primary care safety net practices, recently recommended by MedPAC
  • Enact bipartisan mental health integration reforms proposed in 2022.
