Dan Walter

Dan Walter is a Senior Policy and Government Affairs Analyst in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Division of State Government Affairs, working with state AAP chapters and internal AAP committees on Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) state implementation, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the medical home, oral health and related access-to-care and public sector health care financing issues.Dan joined the AAP in 2000, having previously served as a legislative analyst for the American Osteopathic Association and as a Congressional intern in Washington with former Congressman William Lipinski. Dan currently serves as an advisory committee member to the Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health at the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI). Dan is a graduate of Marquette University, holds a management certificate from DePaul University, and attended the Les Aspin Center for Government.
