Robert Dribbon

Executive Committee Liaison to the Board of Directors of the Primary Care Collaborative

Rob Dribbon leads Merck’s Strategic Alliances with technology innovators/disruptors to collaboratively address health care challenges through innovation and to prepare Merck for the future.  In his most recent previous role, he led Business Development and Strategy where he focused on innovation and collaboration with Merck’s top customers and stakeholders.  This included the translation of ideas and concepts into health care solutions, represented as structured business opportunities.  Previously, in Strategy and Planning, he assessed health care market trends to inform and develop Merck’s strategy in the U.S.  Rob has also played a significant role in representing Merck in efforts to shape and improve the delivery and quality of health care in the U.S.  An example of this is his leadership and collaboration on the patient-centered medical home model and his appointment as Executive Committee Liaison to the Board of Directors of the Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC).  During the course of his career at Merck, Rob has held a wide range of positions in marketing, sales, managed care, strategy, innovation and alliances.  His experience extends to many therapeutic areas as well as multiple health care segments, including primary care, subspecialty, health plan, federal/state government, hospital, long-term care, pharmacy, employer, consumer and patient.  In addition, Rob was one of five employees across Merck selected as a Fellow in the inaugural Merck Fellowship for Global Health, where he developed initiatives with humanitarian organizations throughout Africa and Asia to provide meaningful and systematic improvements in health care delivery for people with the greatest need.  He has continued to play a leadership role in the Fellowship program.  Rob is a graduate of Rutgers University where he was a Henry Rutgers Scholar.
