Lisa LeRoy

For more than 25 years, Lisa LeRoy has focused her attention on a wide spectrum of public health issues with the ultimate goal of improving health for vulnerable populations, and working to advance person-driven healthcare services.

LeRoy conducts qualitative and quantitative research on primary care, multiple chronic conditions, self-management support, quality improvement, learning collaboratives and networks, and evidence diffusion.

She is the research director of an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality-funded study to develop models of primary care teams that will help guide future U.S. healthcare workforce policy. In addition, she leads the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s (PCORI) Asthma Evidence-to-Action Network of 16 project teams, all of which include patient partners.

LeRoy, as director of Abt’s Qualitative Research Methods Center for 10 years, has provided company-wide thought leadership on design, data collection and analysis of qualitative research. She leads staff training and internal consulting on qualitative methods to Abt researchers. She has served as co-chair for Abt Associates Journal Author Support Group since 2014.
