Linda Strand

Dr. Strand is a pharmacist and an educator. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree, Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Minnesota. In 2001, Dr. Strand was presented an honorary Doctor of Science Degree from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Dr. Strand held faculty positions in the colleges of pharmacy at the University of Utah, the University of Florida and most recently, the University of Minnesota where she held the position of Distinguished Professor for ten years. Throughout her career she practiced in community, hospital, and clinical pharmacy settings.

Dr. Strand received the Remington Medal in 1997 from the American Pharmacists Association. This medal is the highest recognition given to an individual working in the profession of pharmacy.

Dr. Strand presently holds the position of Professor Emeritus in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her research resulted in the formation of a private enterprise called Medication Management Systems, Inc., which was started in 2006. Dr. Strand currently holds the position of Vice President of Professional Services at this company. The goal of this company is to make the software, practice instruments, management and marketing support for comprehensive medication management practice available to all practitioners all over the world. She lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
