Laura Wooster

Laura Wooster serves as the Director of Congressional Affairs for the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in Washington, DC, overseeing the AOA’s legislative operations and developing policy for the organization.  Prior to this role she served as a director of federal affairs for Premier. Additionally she was with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Washington office for five years, both as a lobbyist and as a senior policy consultant developing policy on payment reform, quality, medical homes, and health information technology issues.  She spent three years at the National Alliance for Health Information Technology (NAHIT) in Chicago, where as Director of Technology Leadership she led initiatives to promote health IT and streamline the healthcare supply chain.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree in public health from the University of Illinois School of Public Health.
