Speakers:

Robert A. Berenson, Fellow, Urban Institute (Moderator)

Robert Berenson joined Urban as an Institute fellow in 2003. In this position he conducts research and provides policy analysis primarily on health care delivery issues, particularly related to Medicare payment policy, pricing power in commercial insurance markets, and new forms of health delivery based on reinvigorated primary care practices.



Clint Flanagan, Founder & CEO, Nextera Healthcare


Clint Flanagan is Board Certified in Family Medicine, has more than 14 years experience as an ER physician and maintains certificates in Advanced Cardiac and Advanced Trauma Life Support. He is the founder of Nextera Healthcare, the first direct primary care company in Colorado.



Amy Nguyen Howell, Chief Medical Officer, CAPG


Amy Nguyen Howell, MD, MBA, serves as a member of the Health Care Payment Learning & Action Network’s Population-Based Payment Work Group. She is Chief Medical Officer of CAPG, oversees all clinical programs at CAPG, and supports advocacy work in Sacramento and Washington, DC. 



Laura Sessums, Director, Division of Advanced Primary Care, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation


Laura Sessums joined CMMI as the Director of the Division of Advanced Primary Care in 2013. At CMMI, she works on the Comprehensive Primary Care initiative and is actively engaged in thinking about new models for care delivery and payment in primary care.
