Improving health care quality and patient safety are top priorities for healthcare organizations, particularly now that the financial implications of the ACA implementation are factoring into the equation. The issues regarding patient safety and health care quality have been well-documented and widely discussed for many years. Many hospitals, clinics, health plans, patient safety organizations, and private companies have been hard at work developing innovative quality and safety initiatives that will improve their systems of care; others who have not yet begun that journey are looking to learn from the successes of their colleagues in the field.

The National Quality Colloquium, now in its 12th year, is widely regarded as the premier conference dedicated to the issues and challenges surrounding healthcare quality, patient safety and medical error reduction. With the help of national leaders in the field, the Colloquium will feature practical advice and new initiatives for plans, providers, hospital leaders and educators.

The Colloquium's interactive sessions focus on case studies and lessons learned from a variety of safety and quality improvement initiatives, as well as presentations from organizations and individuals who have succeeded in reducing or eliminating risks to patients and improving the safety of their care.

The Colloquium faculty, consisting of national and international leaders in the field, will delve deeply into the core issues facing our country and will offer realworld solutions. The program will include diverse formats, interactive sessions, and experiential tools.
