In 2010, the State defined patient-centered medical home in law (HB1192) and in 2011 incorporated medical home requirements into its Medicaid Managed Care program, MississippiCAN. The State was awarded a CMS Health Homes planning grant but does not yet have an approved State Plan Amendment (SPA) for a health homes program. The State Regional Extension Center (REC), eQHealth Solutions works with primary care practices in Mississippi to achieve NCQA PCMH recognition.
