Much of what you hear about the 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA) focuses on health insurance. That's understandable since the law expands insurance coverage options for millions of Americans. But the ACA also seeks to reduce high costs, control waste and inefficiency, and deliver better results for consumers through initiatives that reform the way care is delivered in medical practices, hospitals and other care settings.

Please join us for lunch and a panel discussion about innovations in primary health care, featuring Consumer Reports' editors and national experts. We'll discuss the growth and potential benefits of Patient-Centered Medical Homes, which work to provide continuous, well-coordinated care for its patients. We also will look at the changes in the medical workforce and opportunities to expand timely access to preventive services and other much-needed care when you need it, like 6:30pm on a Friday night when your doctor's office has closed for the weekend. We'll also examine how consumer engagement and feedback can be used to assess and improve the quality of care.
