There is a growing need to improve health care, especially at the interface between general medicine and mental health and substance abuse. Better integration of the artificial separation between physical health and mental health is the embodiment of the Triple Aim. Focusing on improving health behaviors, this webinar will describe what integrated care is at the primary care level and how it can improve Triple Aim outcomes at the clinic and system levels.

Two experts on integrating mental health resources into the continuum of care are presenting this webinar. Dr. Robin Henderson runs the Health Integration Projects, a community-based regional effort to bring the Triple Aim goals of improving quality of care and the patient experience. Dr. Benjamin Miller is a co-principal investigator and co-creator of the National Research Network's Collaborative Care Research Network, and has been the principal investigator on several federal grants examining mental health and primary care integration.

Webinar presenters include:

  • Moderator: Rebecca Chickey, director, Section for Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services, AHA, Chicago
  • Robin Henderson, PsyD, director of Government Affairs and executive director of the Central Oregon Health Council at St. Charles Health System, Bend, Oregon
  • Benjamin Miller, PsyD, assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine
