PCC's Top Ten Accomplishments in 2022

This list serves as the PCC's "annual report" and presents our major achievements for the year in a succint way.

 

While we present these accomplishments as the PCC's, you, the members of the PCC community, were integral to them. It was with your support, involvement and engagement that we were able to achieve so much in 2022. Thank you for your partnership in this important work!

 

  1. Launched national campaign Better Health: NOW to make NASEM report primary care payment recommendations a reality. Drafted and garnered over 50 signatories for related Concordance Recommendations.
     
  2. PCC & National Center for Primary Care at the Morehouse School of Medicine coauthored “Primary Care: A Key Lever to Advance Health Equity” Report, a version of which appeared in Race Forward: The Health Equity Guide for Employers.
     
  3. Hosted three health equity webinars with various partners and organizations. July’s webinar was partnered with PCDC, August’s
    webinar was supported by the Samueli Foundation, and September’s webinar was supported by the Duke Margolis Center for health policy.
     
  4. The PCC attracted 12 new high impact organizations to join the PCC, resulting in a 15% Membership growth.
     
  5. PCC brought stakeholders, diverse voices, and membership into frequent dialogue with HHS officials drafting the first-ever HHS action plan to strengthen primary care.
     
  6. PCC authored and released its 10th Evidence Report.
     
  7. CMS proposed new upfront payments for Accountable Care Organizations in underserved areas and new steps to support behavioral health integration in Medicare – responsive to advocacy from PCC and our members.
     
  8. PCC Lunch and Learn discussions had an average attendance of over 100 people.
     
  9. The PCC co-hosted the 2022 Primary Care Transformation Summit, with PCC President and CEO Ann Greiner and the PCC Better Health: NOW campaign plus four other sessions at this conference which attracted over 4,500 registrants.
     
  10. Placed five thought leadership articles in strategic publications, including Healio, AMA Journal of Ethics, Health Affairs, STAT, and a Commonwealth Fund blog.
