Manager of Membership Engagement & Marketing

 

Reports to: PCPCC President and CEO

Job Summary: 

The Manager of Membership Engagement and Marketing will play a leading role in recruiting, retaining, and engaging with members, partners, and supporters. In addition, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that build successful multimedia campaigns for PCPCC member events, and conferences.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Membership

  • Lead PCPCC membership outreach focusing on the recruitment of new members and satisfaction of current members.
  • Develop proactive membership strategy to increase and maintain visibility and engagement with members and prospective members
  • Experience setting and achieving annual revenue targets. 
  • Responsible for PCPCC’s member value proposition and positioning PCPCC membership to appropriate audiences. Oversee day-to-day operations including new member application review and approval, prospect research, briefings and membership kits, member onboarding, customer service, and data management (CRM).
  • Assist with defining and developing member value proposition.
  • Develop policies and standard operating procedures to streamline new member onboarding and renewal processing.
  • Promote and enforce the highest member service standards possible in responding to inquiries, requests, and comments from members and prospective members.
  • Draft personalized solicitations and member communications.
  • Maintain awareness of incoming inquiries to ascertain member needs, develop systems to track member satisfaction, and identify potential new revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee web content.
  • Help manage member events and conferences, working with the Policy and Communications team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Marketing

  • Assist in formulating and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy for PCPCC programs, events, and services to enhance the brand and support the strategic goal of engaging members in more relevant ways.
  • Oversee the development of appropriate marketing plans that increase member engagement and renewal.
  • Oversees tracking of member involvement. 
  • Oversee/provide insight into the data and analytics for marketing of products and services to drive decision making for improved revenue.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing and brand strategy for all collateral including print, digital and social media platforms.
  • Works with communications to develop membership marketing and promotional materials, including applications and other collateral
  • Partner with team members to ensure proper online message and relevancy, ensuring consistency of messages across multiple networks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or related field encouraged.
  • Six or more years’ experience in membership role and/or marketing communications. Experience in a membership association is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, mission-driven individual whose excitement about elevating primary care is infectious.
  • Creative design or artistic ability is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as CRM
  • Hands on experience with website content management systems like WordPress or Drupal is preferred.
  • Must be a goal oriented, creative thinker who can conceptualize and deliver on ideas; and work independently without direction or with a team to drive projects forward.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be strategic, and a big-picture thinker who can dive into the details, when necessary; stimulate internal and external member/stakeholder engagement; and build momentum for marketing campaigns while telling the story.
  • Proven project management skills and experience in designing, managing and delivering high quality projects on time
  • Must be a doer, able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadline schedules.
  • Strong customer service orientation and satisfaction in providing assistance.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A sense of humor is appreciated.
